What in the World is Holy Diver doing Nowadays?

I am live from the ever hopping Canisius Computer Lab waiting for my first class. This may surprise some of my loyal readers, but Holy Diver is trying to adapt to the ever changing world by taking Spanish. So far the homework hasn't been too hard, but the vocab words are crazy looking. After taking German for four years, learning Spanish vocab is extremely different. In German you didn't have to study the vocab as hard because a lot of the words looked like English. Spanish on the other hand is not like this at all. But don't you worry about your holiness, he shall prevail.
I also attempted to watch the Buffalo Bills game yesterday. They won thanks to their 3rd stringers. Trent Edwards, the Bills third round pick out of Standford, has not looked bad at all and I would not be surprised if a quarterback controversy starts up again in little b. Losman was 5 for 6 and didn't look terrible, but he is on the bubble for me. If he doesn't prove that he has improved at all, it is time to part ways. I jumped on the Losman bandwagon at the end of last year hoping that he finally was ready to step up and become a real NFL quarterback, but so far this preseason, that to me hasn't been the case. We shall see come September 9.
Now onto my rant about Canisius College for the day. I got to school at around 8:30 this morning for my 10:30 class. I know that doesn't sound like the Holy Diver you know, but he has no choice. He doesn't have a car, so he has to either go with Nick or his dad. Today I went with my dad who works right down the street from here. So I finished my homework, payed off the tuition bill for this semester with a check my good dad wrote out for your holiness, and decided "Why not even be more productive and pick up the rest of the 1500 books I need for my classes" (sarcasm is a beautiful thing). So I get there and ask the girl there if she could get my books in the back. Everything was going smoothly until she asked me if I had someone else come by and pick them up for me. You can just imagine what I was thinking at this point. So she goes back to see if she messed up somewhere, ha, and comes back saying "Could you come back in like a half an hour when I have someone else here?" Now I am really pissed off! I thought this wasn't supposed to happen at a school where you pay practically 6 grand a semester. So when I get out of my two classes today, I'm going to go back to the bookstore to see if someone officially walked off with my books, which cost me around $120.00. I should have just stuck to my music career.
Now onto a team that has kept the horrid city of Buffalo alive the past two years, the Buffalo Sabres. If you don't know already Holy Diver is going into his third year of being an extremely loyal customer of the Buffalo Sabres. This is going to be my second year as a season ticket holder and I also was a mini pack holder right after the lockout. Anyway, for starters, what an offseason for the team. First they sign coach Ruff and Darcy Regier to extensions, and then let Chris Drury, Daniel Briere, and Danius Zubrus go. I think what Larry Quinn was thinking was the fans won't notice if our co-captains go if we sign our coach and GM. People of Buffalo tend to latch onto their teams, but they are not that stupid. Then the Oilers offered a huge contract to Thomas Vanek when restricted free agency started. I don't have a problem with what the Oilers did, but what the Sabres did a few days before hand was even more idiotic then what they did in the start of free agency and that is say, "What ever you offer Vanek, we will match it." STUPID, thats going to drive up the costs of keeping Vanek anyway. All obvious stuff here, and I have never run a sports franchise before, well except for the ones on XBox360 and Playstation. Now onto the real killer. The Sabres announced a couple of weeks ago that they would be raising ticket prices. Who wants to go now after all this? Apparently a lot of Sabres fans are stupid because most if not all of the games are going to be sell outs again. If I would have known the Sabres offseason would have been like this, I would never have renewed my season tickets and let some fool who paid 100 bucks to wait on a waiting list to go to all 40 home games. 40 home games? But isn't there 41 home games. Yeah, but the Sabres decided to play this stupid outdoor game which is not included for season ticket holders. The Sabres want their season ticket holders to know though that they will still get discounted tickets for that meaningless game against Pittsburgh in the freezing cold January day. Thanks.
I've got to go. Enjoy, I hope this makes since because I can't read over this today. I've got to hustle to class now.

Can School Actually Serve A Purpose?

The answer to this question may surprise some of my loyal readers. The answer that I have concluded on is, drum roll please, yes.
This morning Nick, my good friend, and I took the ever grueling morning commute over to Canisius College and got here around 8 o'clock this morning. Nick and I first decided to go to the school library because he still had a half an hour before his accounting class started. As we approached the library we found out that it was closed! This outraged me because by the time we got to the library from the parking lot it was 8:05 am and the library opens at 8:00 am. These kind of things tend to set me off and as you may know I'm paying a pretty penny to go to this school. This left another bad taste in my mouth. I'll let you know some other things that tick me off about Canisius another time.
So after Nick left for class, I finished my Tim Hortons coffee and donut and headed off to my secret spot on campus to take a dump. After that explosive event, I went to the bookstore to purchase a pack of gum to get rid of my coffee breath. As I was there I decided to check out the classic rock CD section of the bookstore and found what I was looking for. Before I go on, let me tell you this is the first time this has happened. I found the Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap CD at the bookstore. A miracle!
This kind of an event, in my opinion anyway, was a must to write down and tell my loyal readers. The bookstore also has a classic Scorpions CD that I am thinking about purchasing some other day. The CD had on it No One Like You and Rock You Like a Hurricane, with other classics as well.
I will have another write up later because I promised an update on fishing totals and Indianapolis pictures and also a real funny picture of my dad as well. Let me tell you, this picture of my dad is one for the ages. You defiantly don't want to miss this one. Well I better get going seeing that I've got class in 45 minutes. Leave comments please.

I'm Back

After a long time without internet, my blog is back in business. The reason for this is because I was painting our living room. A lot has happen since the last time I posted. Fishing totals have gone up, the sabres lost three important players, the Bills suck (well thats not really surprising), and I have just started another year of school today. Be back in a little bit for a more detailed write up. Peace, John aka Ronnie James Dio aka Holy Diver
